Kids with minibikes will say anything ... when I got my first Yamaha years ago, some kid came up to me wanting to talk about bikes.
"Yeah, I got a minibike, got a Wisconsin engine on it, I put lawn-mower spark plugs in it, and I ... uh ... put the gears from a ten-speed bicycle on it ... yeah, that's right, and it'll run ... uh .. 90, no 100 miles an hour!" all with his chin stuck out in an "I dare you to call me a liar" mode.
This ad's the same thing.

It doesn't say that the top speed is 132: "top seep 132 MPH"
My Ninja 250 really does make mid-30s (at the crank) HP, and really will just about do 100. Compare a Ninja 250 to that beauty.

Isn't the max rotational speed of those small diameter tires also a pretty big limiting factor ? I know it is with shifter karts .

Dusty, I think with that engine, the maximum tire speed won't be a problem.

"100 mph" --- and no front brake ??? !!!

I was one of "them"... Remember shaving the heads and/or using those alternative bronze(?) head gaskets? "Yeah man, I bumped the compression ratio..."
Or pulling the governors: "Naah, that govner's just a power drain... "bout a half-a-horse anyhow!"
As far as 132 - I'd have to find notes from the Army but what would terminal velocity be anyhow?
Todd.

Isn't terminal velocity about 118 for a skydiver ?

About 120 for a spread eagle diver and up to about 170 if going head first.

Just the red frame gives it an extra 50mph on the top end. Moto Guzzi proved that with the V7 Racer.

Just another person telling fibs about their ride.

probly seems like 132 at 32.....

If you have never experienced a speed wobble on a loop frame minibike, then you've never looked death in the face. Usually happens at 17 to 24 knots. Wait, that's Effective Translational Lift in a helicopter. I'm confused, been working too many days straight.
-
I had a Triumph 650 that had a top seep of 132...drops of oil per day!

The grammar alone would make me disbelieve in this claim and I got hollered at typing in all capital letters "Oh the humanity"
