Or $6,500 - to $6,800 if you can't do the work yourself or $10,000 if the cylinders flaked and the motor needs rebuilt.

This bike is 5 miles from me and I have talked with the owner a few times. I don't know the current situation of the cylinders. Can take a look at it if someone is interested.

Really? You can get so much More motorcycle for $5,000. Like a 2v 1200 sport or Griso.. Or 2 EV's.. Or a nice V11 sport/Lemans even a Roso or Nero is in that range.

Having owned a Griso and a T3. I'd opt for the T3 as it to me is more motorcycle.

Owning both right now, I also prefer my T3. Not sure it's more motorcycle, but it's more to my taste.

My Griso was a 2007 and my T3 is a 1976. Interestingly enough out of my Tonti's I prefer my 850T to the T3. I like the little side boxes and the look of the rear drum.

My Guzzi experience is a T-3 that I have ridden for around 70K miles and my Norge 8-V with 14K. The T-3 is fun and will put a grin on your face, but then the Norge does too and just as quick. The Norge is the sleek, great handling, relatively powerful thing while the T-3 is the 60s muscle car I always wanted as a kid. I very much enjoy the T-3 but feel much safer on the Norge.

I can see that. I've never had a T, though. I've read the T had a higher top speed than the T3, by several mph. (It didn't have an air filter, for one thing.) Can you comment on that?

Griso is safer too. But riden within its limits the T3 seems more fun. More fun to ride a slow bike fast, and all that. The T3 does a better job of sounding like a V8 race car.
