Here in the UK the Bobber is offered restricted (47HP) for A2 licence holders and on asking I was advised it is just a map the dealer loads on the ECU which is reversible. I thought my 18 year old might try one.
They are offering new bike buyers a free slipon guzzi upgrade. I guessing the cats are in the mid section before the muffler so is unaffected? I asked because I think the bike would benefit from a de-cat like my Breva did (same hemi design no valve overlap). Given the V7 use the same ECU etc can folks loads maps if they have the ducati software and cabling etc?

The CATs are inside the mufflers on the V7, with an open straight crossover. Not sure about the V9. I put aftermarket Agostini's on my V7. No longer have any CATs. ECU automatically trimmed the fueling to adjust, and it runs great. I would assume the V9 would be similar.
