I'm trying to adjust the throttle cables and am finding something a "bit strange" IMO
I've been backing both cables all the way slack and at that point the throttle snaps shut very satisfactorily
When I firstly take the slack out of the closer
a) I use every bit of the adjustment available
b) the throttle action stiffens up
I then have to barely move the opener
Is this simply that the cables (35k miles) are worn or is there something else going on.
I believe that the opener is 1120mm long (110mm free length) while the closer is 1125mm long (100mm free length)
Could they have been installed arse about face originally :undecided:
PS
This is the 1st bike I've owned with twin cables so I might be just cocking it up :embarrassed: :embarrassed:

Sussed it
I slackened both cables of fully and then tightened them both up evenly to minimal free play.
VoilĂ no more snatchy pick up from a closed throttle
Happy Days :cheesy:
