Considering putting wider handlebars on the Breva 750. Anyone done so or have a reccomendation for a set that works well.

I installed a set of risers for someone. The cables have very little excess, 3/4" rise was nearly impossible with existing cables. Some of the later smallblocks may have longer cables. Good luck, and please report back with information on you quest.

I found the Breva handlebars perfect for me. :thumb:

:1: My first thought to the question was, why?

I wondered why at first as well. I had information about the cable problem that I thought pertinent for the project, so related that. Sometimes why is not really important, many people do things to motorcycles I would never do. I have seen many things but probably the oddest was a customer who positioned his clutch lever so that it depressed the flash to pass button, his complaint was the high beam wouldn't function, the fuse was blown, replaced the fuse, repositioned the lever to just miss the button. Two weeks later he returned with same problem, same cause, explained it to him again, "If you hold this button in for extended periods of time, traffic lights etc, it will blow the fuse." Go out and reposition your lever so that it will hit the flash to pass button and see if you can ride your bike with the lever in that position. The bike was a 90s California model but I really don't think it matters. It takes all kinds to make a world.

I put 3/4 or 1" risers on my V7. There was enough cable slack to do it, but I had to disconnect and re-route the clutch cable. All good after that.

As to the why.....
I was just looking to widen the hand position. The stock bars make the bike feel "small" to me.
