Post by: lucydad on July 26, 2016, 10:23:44 AM
All,

Poodles, after much scrutiny and pawing and sniffing, have awarded not-fishing the Golden Goose Egg award for best simile.

Congratulations!  Certificate is attached.  Suitable for framing or oil drip capture on garage floor.

That's a beautiful draft horse, what is that? Some kind of Friezan/Percheron cross or something?

When I was horsing I once rode a draft/thoroughbred cross named Knockalong through the Pebble Beach golf course - on the cart path of course. He was a monster, all I could do to keep him from spinning his tires and running all the lights.

Working draft horse are fun to ride.  They go where they want to go till you give them "big" input.  Spurs and a big stick worked for me.  I'm small.  One of the friends suggested a 2x4 to the forehead to get his attention then an apple before riding.

I've barebacked on a Belgian - like a four legged couch-mountain.

Oh, and nice award too.
