Title: V7C and raTi, thanks guzzitech!
Post by: ratguzzi on July 28, 2016, 02:22:18 PM
My raTi has an ECU Todd reflashed a few months back and the bike has run perfect ever since, 8/33 gear set and smooth 55mph in 5th.
My 2014 V7C ran ok but had that leanness, long warm up, slight hesitation off idle when letting the clutch out. So I ordered the ECU reader from Todd and it came today. I followed the instructions, updated the device, connected to the bike, loaded my original map, emailed it to Todd, got a modified map 20 minutes later, loaded it to the ECU, reset the TPS and one other thing per his instructions and the bike runs simply perfect. No popping on decel, no hiccups or burps, no lean or rich feeling, all just right.
Very pleased with the results. Yeah, maybe something using the Guzzidiag would work too but I have had great luck with Todd's work and about 5 reflashed ECUs later.

Well, I am behind a bit on news it seems.  I thought you still had a Breva, V11 and no V7.  That loop sure looks nice!

PS need a closeup of the bags on the Loop

He reflashed my 2015 V7 Stone.  Mine was done when you still needed to remove the ECU and send it in.
The bike runs PERFECT.

I rode Rox's stock LeMans, tuned by Todd, and it is the best running stock Guzzi I've ever ridden. <shrug>

Well, I ran through two tanks of gas and the mileage was low 40s. Bike had amazing throttle response and felt much snappier than the stock map but I am hung up on decent mileage. Todd understood and tuned it down some. Ran 300 miles plus today and now the bike needs a minute or so warm up, much better than stock. Not as snappy as the first map but waaaaay better than the original. No hesitation at all when you let the clutch out and the original leanness at 2500rpm and less is gone but maybe just a hint of it still. It runs out through the gears as smooth as silk and I am quite pleased. AND!!! I got between 52-55 mpg today running between 55-75 most the day and going through some smaller towns, etc.

Running the OEM map on the 2013 V7. I do have some lean surging on cold starts, but that goes away as soon as the combustion chambers/heads start coming up to temp. Otherwise it runs perfectly so no need to change.

Got 56+ mpg tank after tank this weekend loaded down with bags and running at speed up and down mountain roads and running hard on the highway to get home.
