  Real estate prices down there are pretty reasonable right now but I think I will house hunt elsewhere.
 It is too easy to get cut off and isolated even if you are not hit by the lava.
  Some things are too pretty for me to want to live near, Peles' poop streams are like that.
 Being down wind of her farts can get pretty bad too.

We saw the lava flow into the water when we visited in 2008 (or 2009).  Awesome sight at night and the Big Island was one of our best vacations anywhere in the world.
