If you've ever said to yourself, "Can't I just have a beer and tour the country and someone pay me for it?
" Well, we have really, really good news for you! This job actually exists and The Smithsonian is currently hiring and we have a link to the application!
The Smithsonian is doing research into American craft beer, so they're going to hire someone to travel around for the next three years to drink beer, talk to brewers, and file reports. And they're paying $64,650 a year, plus benefits.

Guzzi content: lots of travel involved, so you can ride. Perhaps get mileage reimbursement.

Damn, another job I'm over-qualified for.
-
I may apply for this job and tell them I'll take a $10K pay cut if they hire me.
-
I'm in a position of mobility to do that, but alas, I don't care that much for beer. The experience would be wasted on me.

Maybe they have one for weed?

Now that's something I can be discerning about. :food: . . . and considering the subject, three years to tour the legal states would be about right. . . .
-
Perhaps Ratguzzi could combine it with his present job and get double travel allowance to ride his bike around America?

I think you missed this part of the job description.
"Anyone can apply, but they do say they want someone who has an advanced degree in history, food, brewing, culture, or business."

The link on the page doesn't work. :undecided:

Heat treating parts could be taken as 'brewing". :undecided: Don't know if JB has an advanced degree though.
