All,
Ms LD been in Brooklyn with the princesses all week, back Monday. Got up early today, poodle walk after NM Hatch green chili omelet breakfast.
Geared up and took the V7R out towards coast (after checking road conditions). Very nice and mellow ride. Cagers behaving. Puffy clouds give some break from blowtorch Mr. Solar. Followed a guy on a HD part of the way, good sweeper curves near Brazos Bend park. Gorgeous C7 white Manta Ray Vette. Damn.
Had a guy on a sport bike blow past me at least doing 100 in a 50. Really wish I had my GoPro on for that scene. Then he cut across traffic and dived into gas station. Wow, really? Passed same guy stopped at Oyster Creek bridge. He was making a statement? That is: I am idiot.
Nice couch nap, and to food store. Decent rainstorm cooled things off. Grilled up cedar plank fresh Alaskan coho salmon, some beautiful asparagus, and a phenomenal Kiwi sauvignon blanc from the south Island. If you have never tried New Zealand sauvignon blanc, you have not lived.
Plan on watching the movie Masada tonight. Links with my class (New Testament) reading. Demanding and lots of effort and time class. Root for the Romans, can't help it. SPQR and Pax Romana are in my genetics, literally. Will I finish the program? Good question. Tough degree.
Dram of one of my favorite single malts post dinner: Old Pulteney. The salt of the sea comes out and a hint of peat. Lovely. Buddy turned me on to this Scotch, he is now in Cairo, keeps trying to get me to cross the pond and do my stuff. Not happening, retirement is good.
Life is good. I am grateful.

Oh no!!! Now you have let the cat out of the bag. Now EVERYONE will want it and there won't be enough for us Kiwis.  (Says he supping on a Tall Poppy Savy from Marlborough. :thumb:)
Its all we drink in the way of wine in our house.
Never heard of Old Pulteney. Sounds nice. Unfortunately, retirement means I am reduced to Teachers when it is on special.
I am a fan of your statement LD, "Life is good, I am gratefull". I am convinced that an attitude of gratitude goes a long way to having a rewarding life.
