Title: Rubber seat trim?
Post by: Thirtyaughtsix on August 01, 2016, 04:35:02 AM
Anyone have any good recommendations for replacing the rubber weatherstripping trim that attaches to the bottom of T/T3/Convert/etc. seats? Found some general stuff on MG cycle but they don't specify if any of it would work on a seat

Maybe try door edge trim available from your local auto parts store. If you don't necessarily need the chrome accent on it, perhaps something from McMaster-Carr: http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/122/3857/=13jatt3

Years ago I found some from JC Whitney that worked.

Use a blue racer snake and superglue.  It might also deter thieves.

I used this on my 850T seat.  We happened to have some left over from a job at work.  This style has a really good grip - much better than the stock stripping.  Also, it is apparently very good against the elements.  I put the bulb inward, or you might choose to slice it off...
