Title: The Kid's 1100 spot
Post by: Chuck in Indiana on August 03, 2016, 06:38:24 PM
We put the Mighty Scura in the van, loaded way too much stuff in it  :thewife:  and came up to Wisconsin today. Opened the garage door, and his newly minted Sport was in the garage. First time I've seen it, and it is bad ass. Rolled it out and took some pix.

The Kid came home, and we synced the carbs.. they were close by ear, apparently.

Put in back in the garage and rolled the Mighty Scura beside it.

It wouldn't start. (!) Dorcia said she thought she heard the chicken cackling when we were driving up. Asked Brad if he had some DeOxit. "Duh." Pulled the relays, squirted them and the relay bases, and varoom.
The chook said he'd had enough of riding in the coop. "Just jackin with you.."
Off to the Wisconsin rally tomorrow..

Just a nod to Lucky Phil.  I don't have any *before* pix, but it was moderately crashed and had been laying on it's side in a barn for years. Brad said Luigi had bondoed the tank at the factory, but hadn't put any prep under it so the tank was rusted and pitted. Stripped it all off and started from square one. Looksa nice.. :boozing:

As Brad see, if you want to ride a  Moto Guzzi, you have to build it yourself.
Beautiful!

Some chook! I seem to remember a photo Pete posted of a hack that he shipped back. When he opened it up the chook had bred and there were about 70 "little chooks" in it.

A couple of nice bikes there Chuck. Your son seems to have picked up plenty of good skills from you. :thumb:

My youngest son also has one of those (as do I) and he also lives in WI. Looks just as good. My son has Termi exhaust though and it sounds great. Also, your son's bike appears to be a 95 and my kids bike is a 96. Not much difference.

Those are beautifies...

Chuck if you decide to sell the Scura, please let me know...I'd love to ride it and put it in my nice neat newly decorated garage!

Have fun at the Bratfest!!!

You might not want it now.. I broke it.   Fortunately, Dorcia was there with the van to bring it back to the Kid's place.
The good thing is, Brad let me ride the Sport part of the way back. It's a *mans* motorcycle. :)

That bike looked amazing when I finally saw it today. Glad you didn't break his tranny as well.
