Title: Stelvio auxiliary lights--LED headlamps
Post by: sidmonsters on August 05, 2016, 03:52:23 PM
Given all the problems with the Stelvio auxiliary lights (shorting, vibration, exposed location), has anyone kicked them to the curb and gone to LED or high-intensity headlights alone and been satisfied?  I don't do a lot of night riding but like the LEDs on my car for vision and visibility (me, other cars, whitetail deer with suicidal/homicidal tendencies).  Once again looking to stand on the shoulders of the giants on this board...All input/experiences appreciated!

Pretty much right after i got it.

I put on a set of Clearwaters. I like em because they're dimable. Otherwise you wouldnt be able to use them at night with on coming cars.

Theyve got 70,000 miles on em and have been great.

I use Hella Leds sold by BMW.

They have a sharp cutoff on top, so non blinding if not aimed to high. Real wide fogligths.

Cost 100 euro each. at your bmw dealer.
