Title: Texas Hill Country on the V7C
Post by: ratguzzi on August 06, 2016, 06:24:48 PM
Traveling for work. Was free last Monday, yesterday and today. Rode around 800 miles or so on those 3 days. Route 12, 32, 16, 39, 27. Farm roads 473, 470, 187, 474, 150, 1888, from Luckenbach, Blanco, Wimberly, Utopia, Kerrville, Hunt, etc, Smaller roads like creek rd, upper sisterdale, sisterdale and a few others. Had to start early to beat the heat! V7C ran flawless with my Guzzitech map and the Mupo forks sucked up the rough roads along with the Ikon shocks from MG Cycle.
Great time!
JB

Good stuff there jb.  I have a need to go check out the Texas Hill Country from years ago listening to Jerry Jeff.

And a great looking V7.

Thanks for the guided tour.

Great photos.  Thanks for sharing.  What fairing is that and does it fit the V7 special?

From a 04 Guzzi Ti. Just a couple spacers and turn signal trim

You're hijacking my dream, mister!  I had grandparents in Kerrville we visited every 2 years for a family reunion and I think of Texas hill country as everything I would ever need.  Now in Ohio but it's definitely on my list of places to roam on the Stelvio.
Thanks for the pictures!

Forgot to mention all the fun we had fishing, sliding down dams, and basically just doing whatever kids do on the river (the Guadelupe, IIRC?)

Great stuff...nice fun roads with usually very little traffic.  Sounds like you didn't do the 3 Twisted Sisters this time?  Always fun down by the Guadalupe...love riding there as often as I can...

I used to live in San Antonio.  The wife and I would take off on my Seca 550 and head to Medina Lake and sometimes Canyon Lake.  Go for a swim and ride back home, air drying.

Great thing about living there, you can swim from March to November.

That must be some sort of world record.   I'd be so wrinkled up and waterlogged, I'd never dry out.
