Title: nomenclature clarification
Post by: yrunvs on August 09, 2016, 09:35:31 PM
Even after searching I am still not sure about this in reference to the Griso 1200

The Engine oil is AGIP Racing 4T 10w 40

The Carc is AGIP SAE  80w 90 and the CARC is also called the transmission and or bevel box and is the filler plug at the rear of the bike....right?

The Gear Box is AGIP MG/S SAE 85w 90 and  that is the mid engine filler plug....right?

You got it right but motor oil is 10W60 or whatever you like(20W50, 15W50). 10W60 has the best for cooling properties.

10w60 4t is the oil to use. The 2 valve might tolerate something else but use of lesser oil in a 4 valve engine will ruin it.
Why risk it?
