Let's see your personalized plates - with explanation/decoding if needed.
Here's MG SCURA on a special-issue 1960's nostalgic plate issued by California DMV.

I thought it would be self-explanatory, but apparently some people think MG is a British Company... that could have possibly made some motorcycles...

Well, that's nice. :thumb:
I see these black plate quite often. I have a '60s vehicle with original black plates and when I see new vehicles with the black plate I try to figure out why - is it that they go with the paint scheme better, or are they trying to make it look more retro? If you own a vintage vehicle, you can get YOM plates.
The original black plates for cars only came with 3 letters followed by 3 numbers, trucks and other vehicles my have been different.

I probably don't have to explain either, and I won't the first. But the second is 3 for the third wheel (it didn't have yet), and also a backwards "E" for EV'L TWIN, the bike's name.

Never seen those letters at the bottom of a MO plate, nor one with the screw holes shaped like that.
And no place for the renewal sticker.

Novelty license plate...make your own...Google is your friend
The bottom line is from F Troop....the Indian tribe was named "where the f$&@ are we?"

Not a custom plate but it is legal. You would be surprised how many times I get pulled over for an expired plate.

Those things are $10 extra per year here. I must have stumbled onto the BMW list by mistake ...

Maybe Guzzisti are not so cheap as they claim. $40 extra per year in California. That's only $0.11 per day. Worth it.

[rodekyll], I love Evil Twin.
Do you guys know that Cake song, about " how do you afford your rock and roll lifestyle, how much did you pay for your bad Moto Guzzi..."
I saw a plate on a goose locally that said BAD MOTO

I've never paid a lot of attention to Cake - now, I'll have to become a fan!

I thought it was worth a shot. "OBX" is the standard bumper sticker shorthand for "Outer Banks" - you see it on thousands of cars.
And 23540 is the Zip Code for Virginia Beach.
Actually, now that I think about it, I like my interpretation better ...

Pretty much every car, truck, and SUV in Northern Virginia sports one of these in the back window.
So ubiquitous, they're kind of passe...

In Nebraska they want $70.00 per year plus registration fee for a vanity plate. So, being FUBAR...this is what I did
