The V50 looks great, Chuck. I bet it's fun in the twisties, with its low weight.

Nice!! Looks like brand loyalty to me :thumb:

Over consumption........ .. Well.......it's also a mental condition.
-
That's the sort of "over consumption" I get into. I'm down to six motorcycles and it's kind of scary.

It's nice to know one's not alone in one's afflictions.

Or you need a garage full of the darn things just so you always have one bike that works (although we all know that isn't really true).

If I was headed out to the west coast tomorrow, I'd pick any of my Guzzis. I understand them. I know how they work. Any machine can break.. but if my Guzzi breaks, help is as close as this forum and next day air. <shrug> If my (insert ridiculously over complicated motorcycle) would break, I'd be at the mercy of the "dealer" that knows about as much about them as I do. Nothing.
Gimme a Guzzi

That's not over consuming. If anything that's under consuming.
Motorcycles are like golf clubs. how many clubs to a decent set??
Same as fly rods. I think I have at least 8 trout rods
They are purposefully designed tools and you need one for each purpose. guess how many hammers I have as a carpenter

I STILL want to be one of your sons and live in your garage, Chuck!

Too true, Nick.
The other day, the Eldo died (turned out to be coil wire), the V11 needed tires, and the other Eldo and 750S are projects. That left only the Stelvio available. Crazy!
Back to brand loyalty...

Yet I could jump on any one of mine right now, and apart from the 750S giving me a sore backside and the Nuovo Falcone taking till next month, I'd ride any one of them across the country without a second thought.

Agreed. The V11 needed tires (my fault, not its), and the Eldo was fixed in about 5 minutes. Heck, I might even hop on the Eldo and do a few hours at 80+ mph to go visit a friend! Wouldn't think twice... ;)
See you next week? I won't be arriving at the rally until Friday afternoon, unfortunately, as I don't get back from FL until late Thursday night.
Cheers,
Shaun

I see it this way...it's not over consumption when really, I see it as something much more politically correct...
You're RECYCLING!.....yeah, that's what it's called, you're keeping the landfills empty by graciously removing this items from the trash
I have two cars and three bikes all recycled from the unwanted trash heap...someone should pay me to keep all this metal from landing in the scrap pile...
I am a conservator! stand proud, now get back to work, someones got to do it!
-
If I didn't buy used and recycle, the past owners wouldn't be able to buy new. Without us recycling. Where would the current state of new Moto Guzzi sales be?

I'm sad, I've been worked hard and put away wet for many decades now.
I want to be happy, I need to be happy.
I guess it's time for another bike.

Happiness (for me at least) comes from riding them, not having them sitting in the garage collecting dust. That's one of the reasons I've stuck at four. Any more than that and the choices (and cost) just get too difficult.

Takes me over 1 1/2 hour just checking & airing up the tires.
