Marquez's theatrics were in qualifying, not the GP...he's still a punk!
Iannone had the best ride of all...holding off all challenges until the very end while his tires were literally flying apart... :thumb:

Marc Marquez is the second greatest GP racer of all time , right behind Mike Hailwood .

Giacomo Agostini is the greatest of all time!

Nah , Doohan , Surtees , Lawson , Rainey , heck , Angel Nieto , all better than Ago

Meh , if Honda hadn't paid Hailwood $50,000 in '68 to not race another brand , things might have been different . Honda believed Mike was the best .

To be fair, Marquez actually has 4 World Titles...

Don't forget Fergus Anderson , no other rider will ever repeat what he accomplished

Good race, grats to Cal for a deserved win after taking a gamble on tires. I thought Marc did quite well on the tires to finish 3rd while others were having the same tires fly apart near the end. How about Lorenzo? Another wet race with poor results but he could have been contending for the podium but came in to switch bikes while he was the fastest rider on the original tires he choose. He claims his front tire (tyre?) was shot and that is why he changed but it didn't look that way in the pits during the change.

Rossi is first in all time 500cc/MotoGP race wins standings, with 88 victories, and second in all time overall wins standings with 114 race wins, behind Giacomo Agostini with 122.

That is a misleading stat . Rossi has spent his entire career racing 20 races a season , Ago started in 11 race seasons , and finished with I think 13 race seasons . Hailwood retired at 26 , he spent 9 years in GP's , Ago raced for 11 years with probably 35 more starts than Mike the Bike , against very little competition for many of his wins . Personally I believe Ago is one of the great gentleman motorbike racers , very decent and generous , but if Hailwood had raced motorcycles until he was 31 , the numbers would look different .

you can actually watch Rossi the master, today.. Hailwood and Ago long gone in a grainy film from those were the days..
but if Hailwood had raced motorcycles until he was 31 , the numbers would look different .
Dusty
but he didn't... Rossi did..

Yeah , but no one paid Rossi the equivalent of two years salary to not race .
