Title: High priced Coppa Italia Ebay merged threadfest

Wow, just wow and as Sponge Bob would say "Good luck with that".

2004 Moto Guzzi V11 Coppa Italia - $12000 (san jose north)

Hard to find Coppa Italia model in pristine shape. With less than 3300 miles this bike is a head turner. This is truly one of a kind and very rare. The custom exhaust sounds incredible and must be heard to appreciate it. Lots of custom work and parts on this one. Performance cam, heads, exhaust, and power commander all installed by the master himself, Dave Richardson(author of Guzziology) at Moto International. I have the stock heads, wheels, titanium exhaust that will come with the purchase. New Dunlop Q3 tires with less than 500 miles on them. Currently registered in Oregon with a clean title in hand. Offers received by phone and text will not be considered. Must have cash in hand for test rides. I won't waste your time so don't waste mine. Don't hesitate to call/text with any questions.

He's overpriced the bike and is fishing.  :thumb:  More power to him if he sells it for that price.

If this seller get's what he's asking for it the buyer deserves what he paid for it.

Wasn't there another thread on this bike in the past few days?

Or, did I see it on MGNOC Facebook?

Little high priced, not by much.  It has some nice custom engine work.

One of the most sought after and rare V11 Sports.

Uuummm, sorry, but this model has NOT reached the Guzzi plateau of everyone wanting it since it's no longer available. Yes, they sat unsold, so it HAS established it self as a contender as a guzzi collectable, but it still needs to ripen a few years before it's realized just how great a bike it is. Please return this model to the back of your garage for fermenting to collectable status.

Look away.

For everyone else please count your nickels and store this away from the heathens...just to make sure it arrives at collectable stature....ya, that's it....I'll store it for everyone until it ripens, but yeah, no good....stay away...not right...weird guzzi, phaffft!

I've always loved the way those bikes were painted and equipped ... however, being listed with a "reserve", we might assume that this is not up there to "sell", but to see if some cash-flush punter will have a go (usually followed by buyer's remorse and a relisting), or just to sort of show it off.

We can have a guessing pool ... I guess that the bidding will go to $8500, probably $3000 short of the "reserve" .... and it will still be there.

I wonder if that include the airbox and side covers?

It's got some nice things added.  Wheels.  Exhaust.

However, it's priced well above recent market on the Ohlins-equipped '03/'04 V11s.

This one is hard to predict. Since it's been modified, it loses value for someone wanting it as a collectible, but for someone that wanted a V-ll and was planning to build the motor and can't or doesn't want to do it themselves, maybe not so bad. Heads and cams, etc. are not cheap and having the work done by Moto International probably adds some value....or at least to some.

IMHO those models needed a separate zip code for the mini fairing .

I believe this Is only the 4th Coppa to come onto the market in the past 3yrs. There are about 25 on the V11 lemans registry.
No disrespect to the owners of the V11 sports with the Mini Fairing. I searched for almost 3yrs to find the "right" V11 for me.

The V11 sports with mini fairing , and Lemans fairing bike have always been my favorite. So a year and a half after finding my Coppa , I found the cure for the mini fairing.   There is a cure , however finding a willing and compatible donor was like hitting the lottery.

Here you go!   Sorry not for sale.

Let me put it this way.  This bike is pretty much new, with some nice performance upgrades.  If I had the cash on hand, I'd plunk down $9-10K for it in a heartbeat.  Where else can you get a comparable bike with Ohlins suspension for that money?   Pure sexy Italian.

Totally agree with Cam.

I will say that the factory titanium exhaust sounds great. It's a two grand option, and unobtainable.

Almost tempted to ask if he would sell the extra set of exhaust separately.

It's the only Guzzi ever to look as good as a Greenie.   They are striking.  But I would give to the edge to the Greenie by a "nose".

The V11 Sports have some nice livery schemes.  Rosso Mandello, Coppa Italia, Nero Corsa, Rosso Corsa, Tenni even the Grey Scura.  Anyone can add because theirs the Le Mans variants.  The black with red frame, grey with red frame, more etc.

I have observed that every time a nice Guzzi goes on sale for a fair price you guys shoot it down in flames.
I'm guessing y'all just want to keep the price down on Guzzi in general.
But it's a little disconcerting for anyone who might want to build a nice bike because from the tone of the general argument we are supposed to believe that if we pay all the money needed to get a great old bike up to scratch then apparently we are fools and will stand to loose a lot of that hard earned dough.
My example of the moment is my Ambo.
It cost me USD $2300 for a basket case, thus in Oz bucks it was $3300 and then import so up to $4500 with gst.
Then the work began, which of course was my fun and therapy, and then lots of money needed to be spent.
Suffice to say by the time it's done it will have cost about $10,000Aud. If I sold it then for $15,000 Aud I would not feel ashamed for all the time and effort I put into it, and though I enjoyed doing it perhaps my thought and time are worth something.
Traditionally bikes are much cheaper in USA though that is changing and has radically changed with some of the classic icons such as bevel dukes and the like. We , in Oz, can no longer have a glance at the US market and casually buy a nice old Trumpy or some other piece of British Iron that was once a quarter of our price. While they can still be a bit cheaper the price advantage has reduced so it is more of a gamble these days.
I should state here that I am not a speculator in this market, just an observer of prices and i have only now imported two bikes from your fair country and hope to fall in love with the Ambo when it is done, having never ridden a loop.
But what I'm trying to say is I think a lot of you guys need to move with the times and realize that what you never thought would happen is actually ____ happening. The price of old and fine Guzzis is rising and it's actually a very fine thing. These bikes are accruing worldwide respect because they are great machines and they are cool. You need to get over the cultural cringe and celebrate Guzzis a lot more and stop trying to run the prices down.
Just make sure you have your own beautiful bike or two and you will never loose.

If the poor people can't afford one soon , and you are poor like me, just make sure you hang on to that great old beast.

I shouldn't even say this shit because it probably helps to drive the prices up but hey, I'm just trying to be real.

Most here are suspender-snapping cheapskates.  That's fine, more nice Guzzis for me.

I bet this one busts $10K, and I hope it does.

On the bids     b***p ( 1 ).

One transaction really?    Heck I'm over 400

Well I wonder if we'll see it back up for auction because of bidder non-payment.

I'm watching it on my ebay. Still at $11,000USD. Good price for a very nice bike. Damn thing's almost new with only 3000clicks.

I just don't understand why any of you would think it's too much to pay. Y'all go and buy poxy little 750 watsanames these days and wax lyrical.
Who knew.
