Renault is joined at the hip to magneti marelli at the industrial level.  It's an obscure way of saying it has marelli points.

My experience with Renault ignitions in the seventies would have me worried. Besides the twin point standard setup isn't hard to find.

I wonder what ignition is in it?

I have fitted several Renault ignition switches on V7 Sports, they are the same design as the Sport. I buy mine off Ebay (Poland) and modify the underside to fit into the Sport cast switch receiver.
