It looks like the Waco Kid has ridden off into the sunset.
"What do you do for fun around here?"
"Play chess... screw."
"Well, let's play chess, then."
And of course, as Gene reaches that last door, he'll turn back with an evil grin, and say...
"Bluecher!"
Neeehhhhhhh!

Damn , one of the best , in what is arguably the greatest American comedy ever .

I enjoyed all of his performances... even Willy Wonka. I still do even after seeing them multiple times.

Another actor who's movies you could take your mother or children to. Proof that entertainment and "class" CAN be used in the same sentence. He will be missed.

Yes Blazing Saddles is certainly child friendly.

Blazing Saddles, The Producers and Young Frankenstein are ALL the greatest American Comedy ever, not arguable. Second place are Spaceballs (Yes! Ludicrous speed!) and History Of The World Part I (It's good to be the king. The jig is up!), which didn't have Gene Wilder.

Rest in peace Waco Kid!

It's Alive...! ! ! ! It's ALIVE....! ! ! !
RIP in there Gene...

All depends on the child - and the parent! After all, my Grandma used to sing little nursery rhymes to us when we were small, things like:
"Here comes Peter Cottontail, hoppin' down the bunny trail - crippled!" and
"You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm tellin' you why - Santa Claus is dead."
Come to think of it, maybe that's why I have the sense of humor I do

one of the greats.
His nephew said that he was holding hands with relatives when his favorite singer Ella Fitzgerald came on random play "Over the Rainbow" and he passed.

As long as they kill the honky in the end, it's all good.... I think another Blazing Saddles would do a lot of good these days. We all need to breathe a little.

I would mention the completely ridiculous lone ranger movie as anothet example , but it was so bad it was hard to figure out just who was being insulted . My point is that non PC movies still get made , although none are as brilliant as Blazzing Saddles

Nobody has mentioned his role as a psychiatrist in Woody Allen's "Everything you wanted to know..."
A very tender moment!
