Kenny Sr. and his son Kurtis Roberts were in court today because they are not on speaking terms right now. www.Roadracingworld .com

I've been friends with Kurtis for over 15 years. There is a lot of history behind all of this. The entire family are pretty intense. Too bad this is going down the way it is. Never good to see family struggle with this stuff. It's also why I don't do business with family or friends!

Wow, lots of physical violence.
Sounds like the boy needs to get out on his own.

My first thought. Why still "living with Mom and Dad" when all this is going on? Money?

I wonder what Buster would think about all of this ?

I am more inclined to believe Kurtis' version of the events.
I'll bet it was "intense" having a Kenny as a dad. As much as we loved Kenny as a racer, "nice guy" just wasn't part of his persona. I hope Kurtis is able to recover financially and hope the family is able to reconcile.

I know not too long ago Kenny had his ranch up for sale. Apparently no one bought it. It's been years since any of them have made any real $ I suspect. Cost of living in Calif. is not cheap including property taxes.
I knew an Italian family east of Portland, Or. that had 40 acres and the son & father had a verbal agreement on who owned what(inheritance). Years later the father reneged on that and it left a bitter taste in his son's mouth. This Roberts deal may be something similar.

Well, he makes great fried chicken.

Yeah, and he knows when to hold up and when to fold up too.

 Wonder if he ever fixed the flashing neon sign problem in NYC ?

I believe Kramer addressed that on the reality show "Seinfeld".

Rumor has it that Popeye showed up and things got ugly . Press reports stated that a Ms Oyl visited the place and kept repeating , "Service , yeah , that's what we want , service" . A spokesman for the NYPD said in a press release that it took a couple of their officers to subdue Ms Oyl and Popeye .

He would have kicked both of their A$$es! Buster was a character! Lived in a mobile home on the ranch. Kenny offered to build him a house and he refused. He was tougher than boith Kenny's and Kurtis put together!
I heard about this dust up. Most of us are inclined to believe Kurtis' account. Anyway, it would suck to be in this mess no matter what side you're on. Kurt is not some free loading kid. Raced for Kenny while he was trying to get his Moto GP bike up and running. If you followed him as he was coming up through the ranks here in the States, you'd know he was kind of a chip off the old block. Very aggressive rider. Left nothing on the track. He's always been a hard working dedicated man.
I just hope they all come to their senses and peacefully resolve this situation. Can't imagine being in a situation like this with my own dad...

Yeah , Buster was a character , never cared about money or fame , which seems to be the source Kenny and Kurtis' problems . Yes , unfortunate , oft time large ego leads to a lack of sense .

Buster, Kenny, Kurtis, I see a trend here.
