It's worth crawling out from under my rock for some things....  I'd not heard of this.  For the right jobs it would be a godsend.

That beats scotch brite pad, wd40, random orbital sander, repeat by +1000

Yep, and they should be wearing some pretty good safety gear since the random reflections from that thing will blind you and could hurt exposed skin.  We cut 1/4" wood with a 75W laser.  Those are 1000W.

Units start at $53k, not sure if that's for the handheld.
