Title: Guzzidiag help-Bricked ECU
Post by: redrider on September 03, 2016, 05:29:47 PM
Attempted to load another map on the 04 Café Sport. (LeMans MY02) All indications good through verify no fuel pump. Dialog box appears-Not a file type saved but it's your decision. Click OK-nothing. No start, crank ok. no fuel pump run.

Looks you tried to load something that is not a map on it. So it might be errased, try again with a good map. Like the first one you saved from it.

Consider this to be an expensive lesson, on-the-job training in ECU programming.

Thanks Paul. I had saved the maps you sent and actually tried several of them before using the Ti one for the last 18 moths. I'll try the original on the hard drive but it was odd that the previous trials all loaded with no difficulty but now they do not. The only thing different is that I have used guzzi diag and tunerpro to compare maps. No change of map data was ever done though.

You can't brick an ECU with GuzziDiag. I don't think I've ever seen you post anything positive.

He's just taking five minutes out from working out how to save five bucks on his phone plan or make a profit from being in debt. Don't worry about it, one day he may make a friend!

Mission Control has re-established communication with the AI Device. Seems that the socket for fuse 1 was somehow tweaked, perhaps when I removed the fuse cover to disable the headlight, and was not supplying power to the AID(CPU). Thanks for the help for a self induced trauma drama.

All is well. Slight CO trim and Idle adjust. Two beers down, no riding.

I had a similar scare recently.  A bit unsettling but a circle of candles and some incense had me square again.  Glad you're back on track!

Possibly because you've been too busy selling useless snake oil ECU remedies to unsuspecting folks here.  Overall, I think I've contributed as much to this forum as you, despite my occasional sarcasm.

Sib, you're being unfair.  Beetle and a very small corps of others are putting a genuine effort into improving moto guzzi.  Undermining the effort with this baseless bickering isn't helping his/their effort, and rather belies your claim of also contributing, on account of tearing down someone elses's work is not a contribution.

And the rush to judgment did not pan out, either. I "slept on it", applied a bit of reasoning and despite the gloom and doom forecast, persevered. Again, thanks to all who offered assistance with a well engineered product.
