Did you get a "performance award"?
-
Shame on you Chuck!
-
Did you get the cop to take your picture? :copcar:
Cheers,
Shaun
-
Yeah, he took the picture, but I couldn't talk him out of the performance award. Nice guy, professional. With all the cop bashing going on it was nice to meet him, actually. I deserved it, can't complain. It coulda been worse.
-
I hate to say this, Chuck, but you are a HELLION!
-
Yessir,Those V11's are nothin' but trouble. However in this case it's not your fault. It was....It was....the chicken. Splain that to the Judge
PaulB :boozing:

Scofflaw !
Attaboy !
OK , I am conflicted , but I am leaning towards Attaboy
Dusty
-
Off to the gulags with him!
-
Surely you could have ditched into the corn field.
-
That bike will clearly render you bankrupt. I'll take it off your hands. No need to thank me.
-
numbers?

GREAT PHOTO!

He asked what's up with the chicken.. and we've all heard this one.. "Moto Guzzi. Who makes that?" It wasn't in his data base.
-
Chuck,
Did you show him your oldest rider plaque?

Naa, it was on the way to the rally.
-
Now if you would trade that thar crotch rocket for a real bike, dress up like you are going to a village people reunion and ride with 40-50 of your bros in tight formation, youwould not be gettin hassled by the man.
Seriously, sorry you got a ticket but I'm impressed with your attitude about it.
-
Had a good chuckle when I looked at the complete picture. It is a good one by the way. What state? Were on your way to the Ohio rally?
-
Did he spell Moto Guzzi correctly on the performance award?
GliderJohn

Such a proud papa! Look what this puppy can do!
-
Bailiff, whack his peepee!
-
Scura is faster than charger..,..
Are you getting old?? 😂😂😂
-
The Scura is definately not faster than the Charger. I've ridden in one  Those things come with an 8 liter engine as well as some performance upgrades. No point trying to outrun one.
-
Naa, it was on the way to the rally.
Did you just invent a NEW Category for MOST TICKETS or Fastest Speed Cited Award earned going to a Rally?
Prize being passing the hat to help with Fine?

You might be able to outrun the car, but you can't outrun the radio's in those cars.......Don't ask me how I know ! :copcar: The Kid
-
Just tell the judge that an old guy like you couldn't possibly go that fast.

Seriously , what kind of policeman could give that face a ticket ?
Dusty
-
Old enough to know better.
Young enough to do it again.
So how much did you donate to the policeman's ball? (That's a dance, not his testicle)!.
-

When my white head and gray beard and the rest of it pops out from under my helmet ... you can almost see the officer going "Oh geez .... just get on down the road and don't act the idiot!"
But I guess when you're clocked at 107 MPH, it's a little different ... ?
Lannis
-
Wearing your LSR t-shirt probably gave the officer the wrong impression 😁
-
Bloody young hooligans out on high power sportsbikes, tearing up the place. Jails too good for 'em.

That's a cool photo Chuck. Just take care on the damn thing please.
Our mate Johnny the sheep Fu(k&r died on one, hard to forget, never can actually.
Not the bike's fault of course and superstitious isn't a good look. Never could look at a Ford Falcon XP after my grandparents drove one under a train either.
Sorry bout that. You look really cool mate.
-
I'm not going to say a thing, that could have been me a few times. In fact, it was in NE CO a couple of years ago. Fortunately, I got away with just a warning ticket. I was only nine over, when he clocked me. It could have been a bit worse, if we had met earlier.
Have fun at the rally Chuck. I'll look forward to seeing you and Dorcia down the road someplace.
And, ride safe, and just a bit slower.

Or come to Germany and drive as fast as you like 😉

Watch it Chuck, your son is bound to sit you down and have a talk with you about acting like a grand parent!

He already did. He said, "at least he didn't get you for over 90.." :boozing:

Flash back to a faster youth Chuck? I haven't had a ticket on a bike in years. Too busy working to ride. There you go!!! Come out of retirement, get a job, then you won't have time to ride and get tickets!!!! :police: :undecided: Or just consider the occasional award the price of admission to the amusement park with the best rides. Have fun, laugh, and enjoy. Another great story for your riding memoirs. :thumb:

Matt, I'm fully aware that I'm on borrowed time. I'll take each day as it comes and enjoy every one. Wouldn't want the guy I'm borrowing it from to think I didn't use it well..
-
Let me be the first to welcome you to the CLUB,I got mine in August (88 in a 65) the only thing I could say to keep me from getting a $$$$$$$ ticket was I know an Oakie name DUSTY thats why I got off with ONLY a donation of 350$$$$
-
I got 2 in matter of hours in CO my last trip (Red Lodge). Pretty dumb in my case. I blame it on not riding for a long spell then kicking my bike out of my pickup in Salida and taking off.
After texting my wife my bad fortune, she goes, "TWO, by the same cop?".
-
Chuck,
Where do you buy the fake drivers license that flat out lies about your age? I want one so I can get an oldest rider award.

Geez Chuck... Scuras are supposed to be stealthy. What's with the "notice me" jacket? Maybe a change of clothes for your next cannonball run?
Have you attended traffic school recently? I have a double-doctorate in traffic school.

  Several years ago, the Kid and I showed up at traffic school on the same night..
That said, I don't make it a habit of getting tickets. This was an unusual one.. long story.

Great photo! Instant classic.

Thanks. The officer has a good eye. I think I'll hang it in the Guzzi Garage. (tm)

This is unfair. I have seen Chuck's feet and they are devoid of hair!
-
And here I thought he was rescuing a non-starting Scura. D'oh!
Great to see ya last weekend!

ROFL!! This has to be the funniest post of the year!

Good seeing you, too. Pretty good haul for you. :)
Yeah, it didn't start when I was ready to leave. I don't have bags on it, so had stuff tied on. I was real proud of how nicely I'd packed. :) We'd had a really heavy dew, and when I punched the button all I got was racheta racheta racheta. Thought, WTF? One more time. Same same. Crap. Sinking feeling. Pulled my earplugs, and the fuel pump wasn't priming. Untied the Clampett luggage, pulled the seat and went for the fuel pump fuse. Looked fine, so I stuck it back in and wiggled it around. Ahh, fuel pump's running. Tied everything back on and blasted off. When I got home, I pulled the fuses and relays and did the DeOxit thing. Apparently the chicken wasn't used to getting wet..

Same thing happened to me last Saturday, Stupid Racer. My officer was also very pleasant, and I "thought" I was going to be let off but he did at least knock the ticket down.
