My latest ZLA article (my rules for an epic road trip, and a story about my little bro's and my trip to the Curtiss Museum last month) went live this morning:
http://www.revzilla.com/common-tread/my-three-simple-rules-for-an-epic-motorcycle-tour
Hope you guys like it as we continue to try and carry the Guzzi banner!

Nice PR!
I love Revzilla and hope that their tie-up with Cycle Gear doesn't affect their online presence and hopefully improves the pathetic CG retail experience.

Agreed, except next time leave out the part about the shockingly cute young woman "starved for company" UNLESS YOU HAVE A PIC! :thewife: :thewife:

Damn. I have to agree with Lannis on the gal topic. Sorry. It was bound to happen sooner or later.

Yep, my kind of trips. Take a simple 300 mile journey and make it 500 somehow.

WTF ?!?! Everyone knows you can't tour on one of them little bitty V7s..

bonus points for color coordinated jacket and bike (a minor obsession for me).

Motel: Rented place of temporary habitation. Frequently owned by Hindu Indians. Part of the Red Dot Inn chain of motels. Proprietors named Patel.

Glad you guys like, sorry we didn't think to take a picture of the cute girl...

Cool reading and you're right... straight line is the last option!

Good article. I'm glad to hear you guys are having fun.

Nice job Kev. I basically follow the same rules but take my camping gear just in case. People that don't ride don't get it.
-
Well written. And exactly the right attitude in my opinion.

Thanks Kev. I really enjoyed the read. As my buddy Leroy says, there are two rules for a trip.
1. There are no rules!
2. Refer to rule number 1.
That was really kind of Jay to do that for the waitress, BTW.
It has been a few years since I visited the Curtiss Museum. It IS a worthwhile destination for sure. Over at Seneca Lake, there is a schooner you can take rides on called the True Love. Main claim to fame is the movie High Society (1956). Bing Crosby, Grace Kelley, Frank Sinatra were in that movie and have set foot on that very boat.
I'm glad you guys had a great trip.

Yeah, Jay's alright, but don't tell him I said so. :boozing:
