I've always loved the look of Buco Twinmaster saddlebags. So I bought a set of re-pops and had them painted. They are hung on my existing HB C-Bow mounts. I bought the brackets and bolted them to the inner side of each bag. Easy on and off. I'm very happy with the results, and my painter matched the paint perfectly. He even coated the insides with bed liner. Retro classic!

Smart touch using the liner on the inside! :thumb:

Now you need a Buco helmet to complete the effect
Those are pretty cool Cam :thumb:

That looks VERY nice! Never would have come up with that idea myself, but I'm glad you did!

I love it. Very classy and functional.
I have a set of Buccos we mounted to my buddies BMW R60/5.

They look perfect on /2, /3, or /5! I've got them on my /5. OP, how do you like the quality of them? I ordered a set of repo lenses for my original Bucos, and they are VERY thin compared to the originals, though they've held up fine so far.

DAMN, but that is nice. Re-pops...reproductions?

Yes. Extremely rare to find a usable original set.

Am I the only one who thinks the look like the are mounted too high and the ass end of the bag needs lowered to make them look level?
Either way the Buco's are looking good on the V7!
-
Love it...i'm definitely a vintage type.....i have a set of Bucos, ill put em on something someday...i think the new repops are actually better, stronger than the originals...and they look great...

Me, I like the "old" bag shape combined with a modern "sport-touring" sort of hang for the bags.
The old bikes went for the low, sort of tail-dragger look; I don't think that would quite do for this one, especially with the pipe on it.

I think those look great. I wonder how they would look on a Galletto scooter?

They are mounted as low as the brackets would allow. Perspective is a little off as I put the bike on the center stand.

Dual Agostinis!! That's hot...side bags look great...very aerodynamic too!
Truck bed lining is great material...sound deadening too!

Looks great! Good choice!

That's a great look. Which fairing is that? I don't recognize it.

When looking at the R/H side of the bike they look better.
PS love the Grey V7's they just look clean.

Well done, sir.

looks great. :thumb:

I like the way the fairing and the bags balance each other out.
Cam, if you have a chance I'd love to see some more pictures from the rear and the front 3/4 views.

too bad they can't mount 2-3" lower..

Bluemoon Cycles sells them on ebay. Search "Buco Saddlebags"
Here are a couple other photos as requested.
Harper's "Sport Fairing". Don't know if they sell them anymore. I found a lightly used white one (someone here) and had it painted.

Quality is surprisingly good. Like you said, lenses are a little thin but time will tell. Glass is solid (but they're light weight), and locks, metal bits are nice. Painter took out any tiny imperfections with primer and sanding.

My originals are still in their original white gelcoat. I'd like to paint them some day, but not now. The original finish is not great, lots of glass texture, and I would call them rugged enough, but not by a large margin. I guess what I'm saying is that the repos don't need to be that great to be at least as good as the originals. They look nice on your Guzzi, good choice!

Would it be a mistake to compare them to Wixoms? Look Great...smooth lines...Groovy.

Not at all Mikey, Wixoms are second best!

Wow, a martini toast photo from Penderic. Now I know I've made it!

Nice lines on those bags, they look very sharp on your V7, combined with the fairing the bike is a gentleman's express.
Classy!

No. Not the only one. To my eye the bags need to be lower and farther back.
But yeah, the bags look cool.

Well, due the funky design/shape of the bags and positioning of the C-Bow brackets on them, I was limited to the positioning. All 6 mounting points on the bracket needed positive flat contact with the bag. If you want the clean look and convenience of the C-Bows, this is it. As they sit, they're 4" from the Agostini pipes. I'm fine with it. I'll post a photo of the mounted bracket.

Cam,
Very cool use of the C-Bow mounts and adapter brackets. Having the convenience of the C-Bows probably offsets the visual.
I think they look great.

My one concern is how the fiberglass bags would hold up with the brackets and constant vibrations of the bike and road. Each HB bracket comes with 6 rubber bumper inserts, and I used rubber washers on both sides of the bag when bolting them on. Time will tell. The real test will be the 2000 mile round trip to Barber next month.
Unless someone tells me I can't tour long distance on my lightweight V7...

Duh, of course you can't ... :afro:

I wouldn't worry. The old Bates went 7 years without a hitch at the mounts with only a thin rubber washer. Load them up and ride!
