I went to my first Oregon club meeting today. Although earlier in the week the forecast was for dry... it wasn't. The 850T did fine in the rain. I did miss the heated grips on my Triumph.

As per usual I forgot to take any pictures of my bike. If you look hard you can see it. Seeing the T3 with the sport tank just made me want that look too.

Thanks Dave, glad you made it. See you next month at Enzo's.

I think my gloves finally dried out. Pants are still trying to. Luckily I was dry except where my shirt hung out under my jacket. Should have tucked.

If it had been the Norton club meeting everyone would have drove or took their BMWs.

There were at least two scooters. Although to be honest they were both bigger than my bike.

Unique t3, great pipes, and the lower seat and slightly upright bars look like a really nice standard, but the v7 paint caps it

Show your'n!

The disadvantage of the Sport tank and stock seat is the gap, as the owner pointed out. Hopefully he'll be able to find a suitable seat.

Thanks, Chuck! That's my bike. I'm guessing it's a V7S tank - it certainly looks the part. Except for a bit of clean-up, (the pipes looked like rust - you know how stainless can get after a while), polishing the fenders, wiring clean up and routing, along with cable routing, that sort of thing, the bike is basically how I got it this spring. There were a couple good tears in the seat cover that were duct taped closed and looked awful. I couldn't get the duct tape to stay stuck and it left a gray sticky goo on my pants. So I sewed up the splits and shoe-goo'd over it. Looks much better and is holding, but it's all a temporary measure. Eventually I'd like to do her up proper with a V7S seat - but as I'm finding out, that's not exactly easy or cheap. So I'm still working towards a solution.

The bike came from the bay area a couple years ago and I'd be curious if a previous owner is on here.

Thanks for posting the pics of my bike, Swoosh! I wanted to talk with you more, but when I turned back around you were gone. My gloves are still drying out - 100 miles in a driving rain wearing not-waterproof gear wasn't a whole lot of fun! And then I rode another 100 miles out to Silverton and back - another story. It was a wet day for me - traffic was terrible, heavy, and fog going over the hills. After such a nice long summer it was a sudden taste of winter coming on - at least it wasn't very cold. Ugh

You were busy trying on gear and I had to go. Not to worry, there's always the next meeting!

Shame the meeting wasn't today as the weather was, well, not raining!

Thanks Dave, glad you made it. See you next month at Enzo's.

Bad news, I'm afraid... I won't make the lunch at Enzo's!

I'll be at some racetrack/museum in Alabama instead....  :azn:

Hey, it's Portland, it rains there.  Fair weather riders need not apply.  There's another club called the "wet leathers club" in Portland.  I sold 1 of them my Le Mans IV years ago.  I see Steve Ford rode his Aprilia 500GT scooter to the meet.  Better weather protection.  :thumb:

Hey, it's Portland, it rains there.

True enough! But, you know, even though Portland has a reputation for rain, heavy rain isn't the norm. Mostly it's just overcast and drizzle. Raining hard for a whole day is not normal Portland weather.

I don't know, man, all those bikes parked perfectly in order looks more beemerish to me...maybe apply some grappa to loosen things up?

EXACTLY!

That said, the 850-T on the center stand shows some Guzzi nonconformity.

Thanks for posting the pix.  Had I still had been in the area, I would have shown up with my SP1000NT.  I had headed south to the Nevada State Rally in Dayton, NV.
