Hi,
What is the proper stock horn on 1983 LeMans 3. The parts book and old pictures seem to show a black single horn, NOT TWIN HORNS. Can someone tell me the maker and model and possibly what other bikes have same horn. My bike has twin Fiamms on it and I dont think that is original. I would like to find stock horn.
Regards,
Clay

ha..ha...thats a good question. I have an 83 that is a really nice all original paint and nearly bone stock bike, I would just like to have all the original pieces. I am short the horn, side stand and tool kit.

This is a photo of my old '83 850 LM-III. I put a set of red, German HELLA ("loud" @ 139+ Db) horns to replace the original ones. Frankly speaking, I can "fart" louder than the stock horns! :cheesy:  I also have these same horns on my '98 Centauro GT
However, completely understand your position about having all original stock ones...but they are virtually useless.

Harpers on line parts list shows one horn, from pictures on the net it sure looks like a single Voxbell type used on the earlier iterations.

Here is what the parts manuals show for horns:
Le Mans 3: 17 74 37 50
Le Mans 1: 14 74 37 00
T3: 14 74 37 00
14 74 37 01
It seems the Le Mans 1 shared its horn with the T3, etc., but the Le Mans 3's was different.
