Title: Solo on a Calvin
Post by: Ncdan on September 21, 2016, 05:27:37 PM
Any of you guys ever see or have used a solo saddle on a Calvin? I'm waiting on mine to get here from Idaho so all I can do for now is research some issues until she gets here. By the way I love this site there are a lot of really intelligent folks here when it comes to Guzzis and are so willing to help us less knowledgeable. I've been helped greatly already and don't even have my bike yet. I hope to get to some rally's and meet some of you guys in person. Anyone from NC, sing out, I am retired and have a lot of time to hangout. Thanks guys!

You need to attend the NC Rally the first weekend of August at Blueridge Motorcycle campground. The rally is called Guzzis in the Blueridge. I missed it this year because of stupidity.

I've not seen a solo saddle on a Vintage, but anything is possible. You'd likely have to remove the seat surround, luggage rack, and seat lock assembly. You'd also have to adapt a seat from another application (like from a Loop Guzzi or perhaps an old BMW Denfeld), but if you have the "will and the skill" it can be done.

Hey there!  I am in Durham, NC.  What part of NC are you living in?

I had a CalVin - it would look cool with a solo saddle!

A solo seat from a Jakal should fit.

Hi Dan I live just south of Charlotte (not a great place right now).  I was going to try and make the KY rally this weekend but can't pull it off so instead I'm going to head over to the Blue Ridge campground for a couple of nights.  Great spot to base out of for some good riding.
