Keep those vermin drones away...

Except if I kept it in the backyard, it would probably eat everything in the bird feeders...nothing but feathers and beaks left on the ground..

That is so kewl!
If an eagle catches one, does he get to eat it?
-
If the American Bald Eagle is protected how is it they can export them?
-
They are not just American. They are everywhere.

That might be one reason they picked bald eagles for this one, instead of golden eagles. I think bald eagles hardly ever bother anything that isn't a fish or dead, so they don't have much natural aptitude for aerial prey - so if you can train them to attack drones, they'll go up and attack drones, and come back for some fish. If you sent a golden eagle up there, it would be hitting on ducks, cats, anything that moves.
We have bald eagles here around the city, not many but I see one once in a while and probably would see them more often if I looked up more. I don't know what they eat, honestly. And we have bird eating Coopers hawks. I'd trade them all for redtails, which I think is the only raptor that would go after the squirrels.

Or you can run anti-drone virii on your wifi

I followed some of the links in the story, including a couple of You Tube videos. They're using different kinds, including bald and golden eagles. Maybe you can order species according to your national bird. I wonder if they could train up some Canada geese for the RCMP? :police: It could be a (typically Canadian) nondestructive version- trained to poop on the camera lens! :cheesy:

My dad was playing around with a red palm sized drone in his yard in Brisbane.
A kookaburra flashed by out of no-where and seized it out of the air.
Half an hour later dad saw the bird smacking the thing onto the concrete driveway trying to get to the 'meat' inside the centre shell.
Must have thought it was one crazy bug
