Man! Got a ten degree break on yesterdays weather. I can finally work outside comfortably again! Backed the Cali III out and started disassembling the front end. I screwed up last time I changed a fork seal and got a lip on the left one folded over. Made it weep a bit. Put it back together this time and I believe it sealed perfectly! Silicone grease is a great thing on seals and O rings. A few more fasteners and then a test ride! Shop is too full to actually work indoors. You know how it gets after you live somewhere for almost 30 years. Rooms fill up and its difficult to keep work space. Now I back the bike out under the car port to work on it. Love Fall!!

We were supposed to cool off today , hasn't happened so far , hot and humid
Mostly I prefer working outside , which is a good thing , like your situation , space inside is very limited .
Oh , can you send us some of that cooler air

51 in the morning, 54 mid day and 50 come nightfall. All with the required amount of rain. Sitka is just getting over the equinox storms and headed into the October storms. I'm packing and staging but can't move anything from the house to the truck. Glad you guys are getting some tolerable weather down south, and I hope to be riding in it soon.

Ha! That's what I did all morning. New rear brake pads, new rear brake carrier, new calipers, new bags, easy outed front master reservoir cap screws, bled brakes, all on Biffy Bullfrog my KLR. Adjusted chain. A good morning's work.
Now it's football.
Go Eagles.

Test ride went perfect. These old Tonti's run like a pair of old shoes. Didn't even put fresh gas in it. Ran like a top! Zero weepage from new seal! Changed the rear brakes and am now attempting to do a good bleed on that system. It was always soft at the pedal. If I can achieve a solid pedal, that'll be a big improvement! In the 70's today and not too humid for once. It was a blessing!

In the 60's in Minnesota.. made a new friend who mounted Shinko 705's for me yesterday and had a 50 mile ride there and 50 back on the new rubber..
today after all the chores and dog's playtime at the lake I got on to scrub in the new tires, a course it started raining.. so I got in another wet ride!.
Wx man promises a cool but sunny week. still lots of good ride time left this season..

Tell me you didn't actually slaughter any hippos just to have warm hands.

Waste and entire hippo? No way! Proper form says you only take as much hippo as you need, and of course, you ask first. :thumb:
