He's playin' there with Clifton Chenier now, at the great fais do-do...

He did the New Orleans JazzFest every year and gigs locally a great deal. It's been a tough year for Louisiana musicians. I still miss Allen Toussaint and Pete Fountain was one of my dad's high school mates...

Post by: Lesman on September 28, 2016, 12:39:18 PM: I finally got to see him in Gruene,Tx about 6-8 years ago. I threaten to go see him on Thanksgiving for many years at El Sid O's.
The first time I heard his music was when he did his version of Why does Love got to be so Sad with Eric Clapton on the guitar. Late 80's . Tremendous musician. He will be missed.
