It cracks me up when someone puts a "WTB" add out there when there are many "For Sale" ads for just that. Open your eyes and look!

To be fair even if there are a thousand for sales it can never hurt to ask. Sometimes you get the attention of someone who hasn't thought about selling until you ask.

+1 Some people hate the process of selling a vehicle. So declaring a willingness to pay top $$ for the right one is a good strategy. You might also reach someone who would prefer to see their "baby" go to an enthusiast. It may help your search if you indicate that you are willing to arrange shipping - or can pick up - or will do fly-and-ride.
Enjoy the search.

Cam,
It does make sense to me, since he's looking for a specific, relatively rare machine. I don't see too many Le Mans models come up for sale very often.
If the ad was directed to just "any motorcycle", then I would think its an entrepreneur, just flipping bikes.

On one of my posts, V11 Sport LeMans Rosso Corsa thread. I hinted that I was interested in buying a Nero Corsa. Bill in Milwaukee sent me an email saying that he was looking to sell his bike. The deal was made with no hint of info going to anyone except me & him. You never know.
