Title: Mana bars on Breva 1100
Post by: tris on October 21, 2016, 01:41:57 AM
My second hand Mana 850 bars (£56  :thumb:) arrived yesterday and the 1200 sport risers are on their way

Looking at the bars I'm a bit puzzled.

I thought the Mana bars were "plug and play, but the ends are tapped with a large thread so I don't understand how the bar end weights should fit.

Somewhere in the recesses of my mind I recall something about spark plug thread can't remember the relevance and a search hasn't revealed anything ... yet

Can anyone advise please?

? Stock Sport bars are threaded as per all late model CARC bikes. The Mana bars will have the same thread.
You simply need to unscrew the bar weights, the unscrew the adapters from the Sport bars and screw them onto the Mana bars.

Having read what you said I had a look at the parts lists for the Mana and the 1200 Sport

The parts fiche shows a "Anti vib.weight trailing" :undecided: part No AP8121520 between the bar and the bar end weight

My B11 cast bars don't have this

I guess that the guy that took theMana bars off removed the adaptors with the bar end weights

No problem, I'll just order up a couple of the adaptors

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction

My apologies, I should have read your signature. I just assumed you had a Sport.   :undecided:
