Title: Scrambled Side By Side

I already voted with my wallet, choosing to buy a 2016 Guzzi Stornello rather than waiting for the BMW RNineT Scrambler variant. Of course I'm biased, but the Guzzi looks better IMHO.

I think I like the Guzzi's looks better, but it was really hard to keep its 48 hp, compared to the BMW's 110 hp, the suspension differences, etc., from clouding my decision.

The beemer is better looking, hands down.

Lookit those trick little twin cans, sculpted tank, super special seat, minimalist gauges, dual front discs on the beemer. While the MG looks like they got a little lost trying to figure out how they were going to bend the exhaust, stole their seat off something from the seventies, scored way too big a headlight from a truck parts warehouse... and what's that silver rugby ball sticking on the starboard side?

Nope. No comparo, looks wise.

I introduced some pictures of the Stornello to a coworker who is interested in the BMW.  He said nope, too 80`s .

Those twin cans are hideous. Beemer needs a proper rear fender too.

The beemer is kinda fugly, but most of them are. Twice the ponys? Hmmmmm. Maybe with a black seat?

The high exhaust on the Stornello is true to the Scrambler form, as are the standard fitted wire-spoked wheels.

The BMW has some nice details, but it is not as nice looking. The color is boring compared to the Guzzi.

The twin pipes are stupid and not needed. There is a single pipe split into two cans for no real reason. If it were two into two or a larger feed pipe into two, then OK, but as they are, it is pure form over function.

I was riding past my local BMW dealer yesterday, so stopped for a look. I felt it was a good looking bike, for its type, but the Scrambler fad has passed me by, whether it be BMW, Moto Guzzi or Triumph. I like a bike that is build for, and looks like it is built for tarmac.
