Title: It's A Taste Thing ...
Post by: Jim Rich on October 23, 2016, 08:51:40 PM
The question this time is;

Is it wrong to put fishtails on an electric bike?

 Well... I guess it would be OK , but in a hot climate they are gonna get stinky after a few days .

 Not if it is equipt with a sound system that plays potato potato potato when you pull alongside of a Harley.

Don't forget that you can also add an "electric" kick starter.

Put a bicycle bell on your bike.  Ring it when you're on an interstate next to a car's blind side.  :evil:  They'll be looking for the bicycle doing 60+ mph.

and now the world has gone to heck! When I was a kid, tying a partially inflated balloon was "the sound." One could go for a long way before it popped, and then is was just considered a backfire and another balloon placed. I tried the same some 30 years later with my kid's bikes and the balloons only lasted a short trip down the drive before popping. "Just don't make things like they use to" (old man's complaint")..anyway Fishtails, coontails, flags, windjammers, IT's ALL good. Lord knows , some of my personalizations to my bicycles and then motorcycles was offensive to some..I welcome silence in vehicles as I age.
