Title: Caliper bolt torque - California Touring
Post by: rtbickel on October 31, 2016, 05:41:47 PM
I' ve searched the forum for the previous conversations regarding shimming the calipers to alleviate low speed front brake pulsations and cant locate them.  I cant find the torque spec in my shop manual either.  Anyone out there with the magic number?  Seems like I remember being between 25 and 35 ft pounds but I dont want to overdo it.

Brake caliper bolts, 8x1.25mm
2.3-2.5 kgm (16.6-18.1 ft/lbs)

Brake caliper fixing bolts, 10x1.5mm
3.5-3.8 kgm (25.3-27 ft/lbs)

That said, snug em up with blue lock tite, forget about em.

Brembo shims that came from a parts supplier on the internet.  Can't remember the name at the moment but there was a thread a while back.
