We are changing our NW Lower Michigan Guzzi rally to Aug 18- 20th. Hopefully we'll not have frost next year!
-
Glad to hear it won't conflict with our event in Ontario. Will definitely plan to make it!
Cheers,
Shaun

Is it still going to be at Cycle-Moore?

When will the Ontario Rally be held? It would be nice if the two rallies were scheduled on consecutive weekends. That way I could go from one to the other.

Is this rally in addition to the one in the UP, or is this the new location for the Michigan rally?

What happens in the UP? I've not heard of a Guzzi Rally up there.
If you're thinking of a rally in Grand Marais, that is the Minnesota Guzzi Rally in Grand Marais, MN, which is scheduled for the 4th weekend in June, 2017.

Oops, my bad! The last time I went to the Michigan rally was 2008. I rode all the way up through Wisconsin and over to Sault Ste. Marie for the evening (where my uncle lives). Then we rode down to Interlochen together. It must be wishful thinking on my part for a rally in the UP!

Hi, Chuck.
The Ontario rally is always the last weekend before Labour Day, so it will indeed be the weekend following the Michigan event (August 25-27). FYI, a bunch of us are planning to head up a couple of days early to ride a loop starting at Thessalon, ON, along Superior lakeshore on the Trans-Canada to Wawa, and then back down along 101/129 before heading east to the rally at Lavigne. It's supposed to be a fantastic ride, particularly on 129, with light traffic and great roads. If you're in MI, coming up through the Soo will put you right on course to join that loop, and then head over to the rally. Should be a really nice week. Hope you can join us (for all or part)!
Cheers,
Shaun

Oh Shaun, that is good news! I knew the Michigan Rally organizers were looking at changing the dates for their event. I talked to Randy Petersen about setting the new dates so riders could possibly hit the two rallies on consecutive weekends -- and it's happened. They will both definitely be on my '17 Riding Calendar.
We can keep in touch about meeting up on the ride to Lavigne. I have been there before -- the '13 Guzzi National -- and am looking forward to going back.
I've been over the top of Lake Superior before (several years ago) and am planning on that route again on the way home from the MN Guzzi Rally in late June, '17. It's a nice trip and I have always enjoyed my time up in Canada.
All for now. Already looking forward to next Summer's Rallies.

A week after the Sturgis rally, good timing I should be home in time. :bike-037:
