Hmph! 'Spose the power to weight ratio wouldn't be too bad.

It looks like they changed their minds about the color of the pipes and valve cover.  There's even a first ride video.

Big bonus points for overall creativity...but it is a little on the fugly side...(IMHO)

IMHO, a Guzzi Bobber / custom should be CLEAN...like this V7 beauty from Ritmo Sereno :1: :thumb:

Look at the other bikes in the picture. Now, imagine this.........You've attended dog shows with obedience trials for years and this year you decide to branch out and go to a cat show. You take several steps into the arena and decide to tear your eyes out.

I hope a rock from the road doesn't bounce up into the air intake.

I think it's great, has all the features (lights, disc brakes, USD forks, suspension, gas tank in frame). Must be a blast to ride.

Well the engineering and fabrication are the strong points.  I think the colors were chosen by a colorblind Mole.  But hey what do I know, there's no laws against bad taste.

('cough cough')  Ahem .... let's see here ...

"I Can Certainly Appreciate the Creativity of the Design, the Artistry of the Finish, and the Fabrication Skills Evident In This Machine".

That's universal code for "What an ugly, useless and barely rideable waste of time ... "

Looking at those intake pipes, Wonder if it is equipped with a compressor driven off the cam chain.

That is what happens when kiwis get bored and have access to tools and spare parts.
One could only hope he had the artistic flair of the late / great John Britten, but alas no, we get this thing instead.

Thanks Pete. (I think) but LA is responsible this time.
That it can be ridden is shown in the link posted by Tripple Jim above Whether is should be is a whole other question But look you, it seems to have decent brakes which is an indicator that it is meant to be.

Sasquatch Jim, other pics on the site mentioned above show the intake pipe simply ending facing forward with no apparent protection from stones and crap kicked up by the front wheel or low flying birds.  A counter indicator. Perhaps it's not meant to be ridden.

I suspect we might have a different idea of what the word "Ridden" means in the Guzzi context.   I don't think anyone doubts that it can be "Ridden" carefully around the block .... !

I think it would be a blast to ride. Very low center of gravity (engine), light weight, tons of power, comfy tractor seat. It looks different for sure, but I don't equate that with not being rideable.

That reminds me of the Seinfeldian premise that there is no big coincidence or little coincidence, just coincidence.  There is no Guzzi "ridden" or non-Guzzi "ridden".  Only "Ridden".

With that fat spine frame  and front and rear disc brakes, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be rideable. It actually looks like fun for low speed riding. I wouldn't want to go very fast with no place for my knees to connect.

Uh uh.   If it's a sunny Sunday afternoon on the Parkway, and I'm at an overlook and there's a guy there in the outlaw non-conformist authorized uniform on a rigid low-rider billet-and-concho laden bobber of some kind with a tiny tractor seat, and we get to talking, and the guy says "Oh, yeah, I ride this bike a lot, ride it all the time ...."

versus a cold gray day in the middle of North Carolina, and a guy is on a well-used, road-grimed Guzzi, he's wearing a 'Stich, ear protection, and has a deadman switch connected to his wrist, and he says "Yeah, I do a little riding, here and there ...."

the word "Ride/Riding" in these two cases mean something totally different ... by a factor of 500 or 1000, usually ....  :thumb:

I tend to agree on the point of perspective.  I was talking to local HD riders and they asked me about the '93 Strada.  In the conversation, I made the remark that it only had 47K miles on it.  One of them walks over to the bike to look at the speedo and tells his friend that "It ONLY has 47 thousand miles."  A sarcastic tone like it's too high.  My thoughts are like other Guzzi riders....not enough for the age.   :embarrassed:

I could be the only person in the country who has never watched an episode of "Friends" or "Seinfeld".

That clip certainly reminds me why!!

I think the forward facing stone catcher air intake and the lack of any apparent muffling at all would discourage me from actually using it for anything.

So I remember when my first child was born...standing at the window looking in the nursery...she was beautiful...stunnin g...but every other infant looked like Mr. Magoo to me. "Everybody's Somebody's Baby"
