Hello All-
This week's multi-season report focuses on Sidi's new Deep Rain boots, which attempt to bridge the divide between full featured ADV boots and a more affordable price point via extensive use of synthetic materials. How did they hold up? Tune in to find out!

I've been real happy with my Sidi Mythos. They replace my previous Sidi ankle high boots that lasted me 16 years!

I bought the Depp Rain's about 2 months ago. Felt great from day one, comfortable all day even while walking but they are warm. They will end up being my 3 season boots
Cool, so they are pliable from the start...? The problem, for me with the Adventure Sidis is that they are very stiff and I wonder how much they will free up. I think these are a great option.
Another issue, again, for me is that I have to try boots or shoes on prior to walking out with them, on-line purchases don't work... well, unless I really know by size that they will fit properly.
Thanks for the review MKL...
Best,
Rob

I have been really happy with my Sidi On-Roads. I bought my first pair in 1995 and a second pair a few years later. I have no idea how many miles I have on them, but it's a lot. I've crash tested them and had them resoled. Still going strong, though the older pair (which has seen the most use) is looking a bit worse for the wear.
Looking at these Deep Rain boots, it looks like the same replaceable vibrate sole as the On-Roads. The liner looks to be made of the same material as well. The buckle and velcro closures look to be easier to fit a larger range of legs/feet than the simple velcro closures of the On-Roads. Oh, and my On-Roads are not Gore-Tex. Their waterproof lining is something Sidi called Sympatex, and it has worked flawlessly.
These Deep Rain boots would be a no-brainer for me. Come to think of it, I have been considering a new pair . . .
Best,
Carlo

^^^^ Like Carlo, I have a pair of On Roads that I bought some time in the 90s.. in graceful semi retirement in SoCal. They've survived rain, hail  snow, a rubber gator.. and kept on ticking. I *have* had to apply mink oil occasionally over the years. My "new" pair are only 10 years or so old, so there won't be any need to look for another pair.

I just bought a pair of Forma riding boots last summer. They broke in well and are totally waterproof. Remind me of my Hebo trials boots but shorter. I'm happy so far.

I bought some Sidi sport rain boots a few years ago and finally used them the last couple years. They're made of Lorica(not leather) and have the same sole as this video. Took a little while to break them in but since then I can wear them comfortably all day in any kind of weather. They're not heavy and cost $200. :thumb:

Sympatex is great stuff. Made by a German Co and a worthy competitor to Gore. eVent is even better than both.
I spent a lot of years designing and developing ski/snowmobile wear (hence the King of Fleece LLC company) and tested all these membranes for years. Gore has the market share-largest by far-but it's certainty up for discussion which is "best".
Nice to see a house brand membrane delivers on the promise as Moshe reports.
