Title: V7II Alloy Wheel opening
Post by: pazzmore on November 20, 2016, 03:57:48 PM
Wild Guzzis,

While locking up my bike today after a ride, I noticed for the first time a hole in the alloy hub of my 2016 V7ii.

Is this supposed to be plugged with a piece of rubber or something? Or does it just stay open to the elements? (See attached pic)

Wondering if it is plugged and mine fell out.

No plug. And there's 3 holes - every 120 degrees.

So, THAT'S where the stash is supposed to be stored.

Alternatively, that's where the hamsters that supply the power live.

Does that mean if I add a fourth hole I can get 25% more power?

Hamsters are colonial, but I'm not sure they're THAT colonial.

Soak the hamster food pellets in amyl nitrate! That'll give them a bit more 'Get-up-and-go'!

Why ARE they there?  Weight savings, drainage?

So the core that makes them hollow when they are cast can be removed.
