Tomorrow they're calling for snow.

But today, today we ride.

Where might that be?

The forecast for tomorrow is possible snow.

Guess I shouldn't be surprised - it is December after all.

(where's global warming when you need it???)

There is a good chance that we're going to get frozen mixed crap this week, and thus salt, bringing my riding season to an abrupt halt.

So, I got one last ride on the Racer in today.

I'm thinking it might be time to add fuel stabilizer and take the Italians for one last season ride each.

The Harley can be the ice and salt workhorse.

The Monster and V7R got that today.   The baby Duc and all the other vintage bikes' tanks and carbs  drained of fuel a few weeks ago.   The V7S is at Europa Machinna, so, I'm hoping for salt free roads to get it back home when they're done with it.

The only one left on the road for the winter will be the F800GT.

I leave all mine gassed up with a healthy dose of Seafoam in the system.  If a mild day with no salt on the roads comes about, I'll take one out.  Ironically, the only winter (years ago) I drained my carbs, one started pissing gas in the spring when I opened the petcock.  Floats were stuck.  Now I just leave 'em alone.

Ha ha, he said "floats" so antiquated... [emoji12]

I'll leave the Italians off the road till all the salt and brine is gone on spring.

I'm working on a ZLA article right now about a guy who rides literally every day. His winter bikes are literally rusting away in a few short years. It's unbelievable.

My Jeep will have to do the job all winter, with heated leather it shouldn't suck too much.

Yeah, after yesterday I filled her up, added the requisite amount of Stabil, hooked her up to the tender, and that might be it for the Italian lovely until spring. If there's an occasional warm day I might bust out the Super Tenere, but from here on out it's beginning to look a lot like X-riding season...
