Title: Dakar 2017...the race

In a general sense I thought I understood what Dakar was all about.  Blast across impossible deserts to the finish.  Well, now the race is in South America.  I found a more detailed description of the route here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HE8YTKh8rE  Although there is no Guzzi content I think many of us appreciate the sheer accomplishment of competing in this race, weather on a bike or car...it's a bitch of a race.

NBCSN will be broadcasting daily condensed summary coverage. If you've cut off cable, NBCSN is also on Sling.

After talking to a couple of people who have done it for those lining up on the start line the race started about 18 months ago.
