Of course, the tees but what else? In no particular order-memories, photos, friendships, rides in different parts of the country, USN style coffee mug from the VA Rally and MG logo coasters made in NH and OR. You guys?

mostly it's this sort of thing (from Sylvan Grove):

It's funny; from the beginning, Frank always emphasized that the MGNOC national get-together was not a rally and that word wasn't used (this in the day of that mega-rally Aspencade in Ruidoso, NM; the MGNOC event was not ever to be anything like that). But, convention generally wins out in the end.

Well, I did get a pic of my Red/White/Green beard that I had colored for the 97 Iowa Natl. Now if I could find it
When it was in KS they had post cards to send home, I have one of those too.
Lot's of stuff like this only saved by me will go in the trash if I die before the Wife, maybe will it back to Frank.

Scott DeRoss got his trailer stuck in a tree in 2007.

My personal fave is the Mona Lisa in tri colore button from the Italy Texas rally.

Well, some of us are trying to forget that one, although it will never happen.
On a semi brighter note, the last National in New Cumberland has Tom holding a picture of Buck Bush at both ends of the panorama rally photo. Way to go Tom! :thumb:

Over the years the tees, patches, pins, awards and all have piled up. Stuck away in bins, boxes, drawers, hung on the garage walls and some just lost. The bikes have changed too as newer models have come along and that new bike itch took place. In the end I think the most important are the memories. So many and as our riding time grows shorter each year remembering the trips, people and places are the real treasures.
Thanks for the post! It has brought back many of those memories. Wow, Sylvan Grove, those were some times.

At Virginia, they had a zippered bag with various silk screening on it. I got one and Vicky got one. I use mine when we travel to carry various phone chargers and such in. Vicky has hers for various little items that she packs. So they are very handy, and we often 'touch' them when we travel. Functional and a great reminder of the rally.

Yep, still a painful thought!

But after nine years going on ten it is a little easier. I have now put it behind me and redid everything (but never forget) I can say as a joke, it was all a wash! Lol

Yeah, the picture is one of the better souvenirs. I started on one side and ran to the other with Bucky's photo. I brought in a couple cases of pineapple and prepped them for dessert Saturday night.

A clutch cable from the national in Arkansas years back. Mine snapped during my last pull as I was parking the T-3 after arriving.

Memories are part of the souvenirs. I go walking by the Fire Station in New Cumberland and Frank Wedge calls me over. Long and short of it. I ended up working on LM IV red. Seems he had a tune up done on it and who ever did the work didn't grease the cam lobe for the points. They were wearing out on the points pivot pad/rubbing block. (don't know the name) He had no spark. Got it running better and explained the problem. He wanted to pay me but I told him that I just wanted to do a test ride. I returned 15 minutes later and he was a little spooked.

Uh....yeah that's me. I spent the better part of Saturday cutting up the pineapple up. Fortunately, Zoom Zoom packed the pineapple in his trailer and transported it for me. I had 4 cases, he got one and rest went to the final dinner. :food:
