Title: Bowtex Kevlar Leggings
Post by: pazzmore on January 18, 2017, 02:06:28 PM
After not being happy with the riding pants available, I finally pulled the rigger on a set of the Bowtex base layer leggings. Wanted to report back and confirm that these things are a great way to be able to use your favorite pants and still feel like you have some abrasion protection. They come prepped for knee and hip armor if you want some impact resistance too. (I have not tried them with the armor.) The material feels good against your skin and fits well with regular and slim fit jeans of mine. Cannot truly say how warm they will be in the heat yet, but they did offer some additional insulation last night on my low 50 degree ride. Supposedly, kevlar is a wicking material and should be fine when it's hot outside. Supposedly.

I'm 5'9", 145 pounds and usually wear a size 32 waist in my Levis. The size Medium fits me well. I might be able to get into a small, but they would be tight.

Oh yeah, this site in the UK delivered the product in 2 days. Faster than most companies here in the States. Very pleased.

Thanks for posting this.
They seem to be very good, but I'm looking for some tailbone protection. I see that they have an extra layer on the bum, but not sure if it's good for an impact.

yea, cool video - I bet the test guy is under paid.
