Anyone out there have any links or picks of a nice clean design of a front fender extension for the Norge and the Griso.............. .. I am aware of the "fenda extenda " product, just wondering if there is anything else that is/can be gotten.
Ciao

Anything particular you don't like about the "fenda" product?
Have had one on my Griso for 5 years ... with glue only, i.e., didn't want to use the screws.

I think this was for an older Caponord, can't remember where I got it. Been a while.

That's a Fenda Extenda product - that brand is produced by Pyramid Plastic.
I have one on my Norge - I haven't run across any alternative for anything but dirt bikes.

Will the Fenda product fit the 14 Norge?
Listing IIRC only goes to M/Y 2009.

I just looked at the Norge parts list for 2008 and 2013 (thanks, Harper!) and the blank (unpainted) mudguard part number is the same for both. That leads me to believe the design is the same, and the Fenda Extenda would fit either equally. Mine actually came labelled for a BMW model, so I expect it's a case of one design that somewhat fits a number of bikes rather than being so closely specific to a single model.

This .... if only because its they're made in my home town and any support for my local gun fighter would be very much appreciated :thumb:

It went as far as South East Asia
Here's mine on my Griso, I added four tiny button head bolts with nyloc nuts on the inside as I am a paranoid person.

On a Norge, any concern of the extension blocking too much air to the oil cooler? Otherwise I would like one as I have three miles to pavement from my house.

I wouldn't think so - it conforms as closely to the wheel as the stock fender, so I can't see it blocking any more air than the wheel itself already does.

It's probably not so much that you're paranoid Phang, it's just that the fact that whole world is out to get you...Also, it looks damn good on your Griso. More so even than on the Norge IMO. You wouldn't know it wasn't stock original.

I just installed the Pyramid extension on my Norge front fender.
I don't think the double sided tape will hold for long. Thinking about drilling holes or gluing.
The problem is that it expects a gap for the tape thickness. The extension doesn't sit flush with the fender.
Has anyone relied on the tape alone? Is the whole world out to get me too?
BTW, also found a rear hugger from a dealer in UK. A bit cheaper than the carbon fiber one from AF1.

My pyramid on the red Norge. Put on by a previous owner.

Pyramid extender on my NorgeGT.
I did a wee bit of filing to move my captive nuts on the mudguard which gave me a bit of clearance. As mentioned elsewhere, the cooler was sitting a bit forward after my rebuild. Loosened the oil lines to move it back. That's the clearance I've had since fitting. Just enough.
I drilled the guard and fitted the studs. You'd hardly see them on a black bike, you could paint them if you've a different colour. Don't worry about drilling holes, you're never going to remove it.
As for cooling.... you should see the amount of crap that was between the fins without the extender.

I installed the fender extender on my 17 GrIso 9 years ago using just quality automotive tape/putty stuff and it has been on there solid ever since. I hate drilling holes in perfectly fine OEM parts. :)
