Title: Agip Transmission oils for Breva 1100
Post by: tris on February 27, 2017, 06:34:52 AM
Believe or not I can only find one supplier in the UK (motoworlduk) of the Agip 80W/90 and 85W/90 oils I need to perform a change of the gearbox/bevel box oil change and every time I go there the PC throws a major security alert!!

I assume that MG specified these for a reason so, do any of the UK users know of an alternative supplier

Cheers

No doubt, the "reason" is AGIP *pays* Guzzi to specify their lubricants. Any manufacturer meeting the specs will be fine.

But, bear in mind that "specs" means more than just SAE viscosity.  This topic has been covered extensively (exhaustively) here, so I won't repeat it.

Mobil1 75w90 Synthetic meets both specs and is widely available. Other good choices do exist.
