Title: Tire Question
Post by: twowings on February 27, 2017, 08:29:54 PM
Could one of the WG Tire Gurus identify the tires pictured on the custom California pictured on pages 22-23 of this month's MGNOC Newsletter?  TIA as always!

Since anyone who still is a member of the MGNOC newsletter sends pics of their bike is a thrifty bastard, this tire could be either a Shinko or a Kenda since Cheng Shin seems to be out of business in the States.   BTW, I ride on both of these brands too so I'm not bad mouthing anyone in disrespect.

I think that like "Kentucky Fried Chicken" brand went to "KFC" as their official name, "Cheng Shin Tires" have gone to "CST".   You can still buy "CST" tires in quite a few places ....

It is.   Were it mine, I'd mess up the looks just a bit with a Teutonic or Russell solo seat, and then would ride it any and everywhere ....

Kenda K761
The front type is mounted backwards - probably it is a rear tire and they mounted it the way the arrow is pointing.
