I've just been told about Prolan if its as good as the chap says it is it could be a contender for the ACF50 mantle. Price for an aerosol full is about the same
http://www.prolan.co.nz/
Anyone in sunny NZ used it and what do you think of it?

I have not used Prolan but have used a similar product called Lanocote. I have it in both a solid grease like form and in a spray can. In the engineering place I used to work at we used it a lot to prevent galvanic action, for example, when fitting stainless fittings to the hull of an aluminium boat. Have also used it when using bolts in wet and salty conditions and as a lubricant for rubber etc.
I am selective as to when and where I use it but it is a very good product to have in my lubricant/protection arsenal.

In Aust we have Lanogaurd - just our version of the same
thing. I've been using it for years, mainly for corrosion
protection as I live about 300 yards from Bass Straight.
Quite good at what it does and pretty versatile though the
"Slight tackiness" they mention for the spray stuff might be
Slightly more than slight. Haven't tried as a lubricant.

 :undecided: :undecided:
Yeah nah. I'll take the manuka honey. (Which has now been priced out of my league.)
Next best thing is the bush honey, which tastes every bit as nice and much better than Lanocote!

Yep - Lanocote's no good unless you add Vegemite.
